TUTORING
I am available on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons by appointment until 3:50 PM. Students need to bring a note from their parent at least one day prior to the day they are staying for tutoring.

Math Supply List:
• 1.5 inch 3-ring binder
• Notebook paper
• Pencils
• Red pens – 1 multi-pack
• Glue sticks – 1 pack
• Markers
• Construction paper
• Paper Towels – Multi pack – GIRLS ONLY
• Disinfecting Wipes – 1 container – BOYS ONLY

In addition to the above, first period students will also need:

• Loose-leaf graph paper or graph ruled index cards
7th Grade Math
Honors
7th grade math sylabus
Objective:
The 7th grade math course will introduce algebra, geometry, and statistical concepts while continuing the study of fractions, decimals, and percents to prepare students for the Georgia Milestone Test and 8th grade math. These concepts are broken into six units based on the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards.

Textbooks:
• Holt McDougal Georgia Mathematics Grade 7- class set
• Explorations in Core Math -Students will be expected to keep up with their workbooks and bring them to class each day.

Conduct:
• Be on time for class.
• Be seated when the bell rings.
• Be respectful of yourself and others.
• Come to class prepared (workbook, notebook, paper, pencil, homework).

Cheating is a serious offense. It will result in a zero for the assignment and a call home to your parents.

All aspects of good behavior can be summed up with the following three statements.
*Do right!!
*Do your personal best!!
*Treat others the way you want them to treat you!!

Make-up Work:
Students are responsible for any work they miss when they are not in attendance. Students should check my website for missed assignments. Missed assignments are due no later than 5 days for full credit.


Grades:
Grades will come from a combination of tests, quizzes, homework and class work.
Tests, quizzes, and performance tasks will count 60% and homework/class work will count 40%.

Parents and students may access teacher website through the LCMS web page. Click on school staff, and then click on my name. Navigate the webpage to find our daily agenda, helpful links to math websites, and our on-line textbook.

Tutoring:
Tutoring is available Tuesday and Thursday afternoons by appointment.

Fabulous Fridays:
7th grade math teachers and students will be doing one of the following on Fridays this school year:
1. Enriching activities over current material
2. Reviewing the week’s material and retaking the weekly quiz
3. Opportunity room to make up missing classwork/homework for a chance to change a failing grade to a passing grade.

Assignments turned in past the due date will receive a grade no higher than a 70. If missing work is not turned in within five days, students have the opportunity to attend Saturday School or tutoring in order to make up missing assignments.

Honors math syllabus
Objective:
