School Year '24 - '25 updates:
Welcome to the Lumpkin County School Nutrition Program!
Our School Cafeteria Teams are here to provide tasty and nutritious meals for your students and all our customers every school day!
Welcome student families!
Meal Applications need to be submitted by all families at the start of each new school year.
They can also be submitted anytime during the school year if circumstances change, such as with the loss of income.
Please check your IC (Infinite Campus) portal for the school year '24-'25 online meal application, fill it out, then submit!
Click here for step by step instructions to fill out an online Meal Application.
Online is the fastest way to get your application processed, but if you prefer paper, here are links for printable apps in English and en Espanol.
If you need assistance filling out the meal application, please ask for help at your school's Front Office or call the School Nutrition Program at 706.864.3611. You can also stop by in person for help at our Central Office at 56 Indian Dr., Dahlonega, GA 30533.
Did you know that if your household situation changes throughout the school year, such as more people move in with you or there is a household income reduction or job loss, you can complete and submit another meal application. You can repeatedly submit applications as needed based on such household changes.
Did you know that your student(s) may be eligible for waived fees for clubs/activities, to take AP tests, college admission tests, or for college applications based on your household meal application. So even if your student prefers packing lunch from home it is worthwhile to complete the meal application!

If you need a refund of funds from your students meal account(s), please fill out and submit a refund form to us, send it to us at: Lumpkin School Nutrition Program, 56 Indian Dr., Dahlonega GA 30533.
If you need a form documenting meal eligibility status for your student (for some other programs or activities) you may need one of these two forms:
Menus change up monthly and include seasonal Farm to School local produce, see our Harvest of the Month calendar; please note if we have unanticipated school closures the menu on the day we return may be that of the prior day.
We utilize Offer versus Serve in Lumpkin Schools, so students choose the items they want to eat at breakfast & lunch.
We are delighted to continue Salad Bars in all schools! After getting their basic meal all students can stop by the salad bar for more tasty items.
The school year we are launching Cookie Cakes as allergen controlled (nut-free), safely prepared, in house treats at all schools!
These are made with our same quality cookie doughs that we use for our Friday school lunch bonus dessert, $25 each.
Contact your school Cafe Manager to pre-order a Cookie Cake! We can also provide contracted meals for clubs and other groups events.
We can help you with your student's Special Dietary Needs in the cafeteria too, please call Julie at (706) 864-3611 for more information. En Espanol.
All families and community members are invited to join our school-wide efforts to promote health & wellness through each school's Wellness Team team. School Nutrition is charged with implementing our district Wellness Policy. In schools, teams work to provide fun educational activities for students and assess outcomes annually by school with this form sent to Principals & triennially system-wide. We are also charged to compare our local Wellness Policy with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation Model Wellness Policy using this checklist. Everybody in the community is invited to join us in planning Wellness based activities for this school year! Please call Julie with School Nutrition at 706.864.3611 if you'd like to join us!
The Lumpkin County School Nutrition Program supports and participates in community service with local organizations such Lumpkin Family Connections, Community Helping Place (#LumpkinMatters events), Lumpkin 4-H, & the Georgia Mountain Food Bank which serves Lumpkin & surrounding counties.
In addition, we partner with University of North Georgia for Hometown Harvest Dahlonega, a local garden initiative, and we benefit from some of the fresh vegetables & fruit grown there in our school meals! Follow and support @UNGHometownHarvest on Facebook & Instagram. Check us out as part of the GPB's broadcasts Fork in the Road , June '22 as well as Farm Monitor, September '20.
