Mr. Fagan's students had an explosive end to their week in Forensics! They learned about arson investigation and fire science by building a house, planning a fire, and acting as crime scene investigators to determine the cause against another group!

Through the Georgia Scholar program, the Georgia Department of Education identifies and honors high school seniors who have achieved excellence in school and community life. Students eligible for Georgia Scholar recognition are high school seniors who exhibit excellence in all phases of school life, in community activities, and in the home. Each Georgia Scholar receives a seal for their diploma.

LCHS JROTC students enjoyed sharing their state of the art facilities yesterday with the Lumpkin County Sheriff's SWAT team as they conducted a training session on the rappelling wall.

Congratulations to the students who participated in a live quiz bowl competition organized by UNG this past week! LCSH won the competition by answering questions in both Spanish and French languages!!! Congratulations to our winning team Luke Schofield, Caroline Rairigh, Riley Osborne, and Owen Woody.
Additional winners and honorable mentions include: Alyssa Bryant, Anna Martin, Riley Osborne, Mady Cole, Courtney Voss , Luke Schofield, Piper Spraker, Amber Sugarman! CONGRATULATIONS!


Congratulations to Sophomore Luke Schofield for being recognized by the Kiwanis Club for demonstrating outstanding service leadership through his involvement in Key Club at LCHS. Luke received the Hayden Student Leadership Medallion for his service!
