It is not too late to get a great deal on a graduation banner and yard sign for your graduating senior! For a limited time, when you purchase both a banner and a yard sign, receive 10% off your total purchase!!
All graduation banners will be hung along the fence of Cottrell Field prior to and during graduation. You are free to take your senior's banner immediately following the ceremony.
All senior signs will be available for pick up at the school any time after May 10th.

Mr. Riley Ray took 27 Automotive students to Peach State Freightliner in Jefferson Georgia yesterday to learn the ins and outs of the diesel industry. The students enjoyed a complete tour of their sales, service, parts, collision center, and their training facility.
Local photographer, Jack Anthony, shared his passion for photography with the visual art students this week. At the conclusion of his presentation he allowed students to pick several signed photographs of his works to keep. We appreciate the involvement of our local artists in the school.
Mrs. Lincoln’s FBLA came home ranking as the Superior Chapter from the state conference. Congratulations to our winners: Will Edwards, Jody Chembars, Kira May, Tori May, Emily Cain, Luke Schofield, Makayla Caldwell, Amelia Langston and Jack Lowry!

It is our honor to send this Easter ornament to State School Superintendent, Mr. Richard Woods. It will be displayed in the Georgia Department of Education’s offices. It is made from bottle caps. We are unable to recycle the bottle caps from plastic bottles so we have chosen to make art with them instead of filling up our landfills. This recycling / art collaboration was made possible by our environmental science and visual art classes at Lumpkin County High School. The ornament was designed and created by Jeannette Brunner, a senior at LCHS. She will continue her education in the fall at BYU-I.

This notion is what drives us in Lumpkin County to think outside the box, to be innovative, and to work with our community in educating the whole student.
Our Aim-Achieve-Arrive Center @ LCHS is a place for us to meet with students to help with resumes, job applications, and interview skills. The last step once they have secured the interview is for us to outfit them with one outfit per student (from top to bottom). The idea is that we give each student an outfit that works for their new career (maybe it’s a shirt and tie and dress shoes or maybe it’s work boots and carpenter pants). No matter the style, each student is given a full outfit to better prepare them for success!
Our wrap-around services model truly prepares our students for life after high school graduation. It is no longer enough for us to get student across the stage with a high school diploma in hand; Lumpkin County aspires for all our students to be successful and productive in all manners of their life. With your help and support, our aspirations become reality!

Dr. Alldred's classes spent their day studying the chemical structure of deoxyribonucleic acid by building models and extracting DNA from strawberries.
Our Mock Trial schedule for this weekend was just released, and our team is in action this Sunday at 1:15 PM. Come watch them dominate in the first round of state competition!

Today is Early Release Day!
Kathy Harris joined Mrs. Erin Ressel's American Literature class today to teach them calligraphy and look at the Declaration of Independence. Mrs. Harris even brought walnut ink for the students to use with the nib and parchment paper. We appreciate our community for sharing with our students!

Graduation for the Class of 2021 has been finalized for Saturday, May 22nd at 7:00 PM at Cottrell Field! There will be no limit on tickets, and gates will open at 5:30 PM.

Parents, course requests for the 2021-2022 school year went home from Advisement today. If your student needs a change in their course list, please have them submit their changes directly on their form by Friday of this week. Student schedules will be made and sent home in April.
