Vera Carson has been accepted to attend the Appalachian Regional Commission's Appalachian STEM Academy at Oak Ridge. The week-long STEM camp is an all-expenses paid opportunity to work with award-winning scientists at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, one of the largest US Dept. of Energy research facilities in the United States. Vera is one of 26 students selected from across the 13 state Appalachian Region.
