
Dr. Davis's and Mr. Jones's class did campfire math today building equations from word problems! Looks like so much fun!


Partner's Club started celebrating Valentine's early last week at their after school social. They enjoyed hanging out with friends, decorating cookies & cupcakes, and making flowers from pipe cleaners.





Our golf teams had the opportunity to watch UNG men and women’s golf teams play while they showed us their way around the course. The coaches and players took their time to explain rules and routines to our LCMS golfers. We are so thankful for our community!





In our One School, One Book, initiate, all students are listening to a read aloud of "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind" and completing activities to go along with the book. Here is Mrs. Carden's class making homemade soccer balls.

The Science Olympiad team had a fantastic day competing in the Shorter University Regional. The team brought home the 2nd Place trophy and individuals medaled in 11 different events. Ari Dawson won a First Place medal for Road Scholar and JP Hayes won First Place in Wheeled Vehicle. The team will advance to State at UGA in late March.


LCMS was well represented at the Lumpkin FFA cow show today. Great job everyone!

Mrs. Walden’s 7th grade ELA did a gallery walk in class today. They worked on analyzing research essays of former 7th graders in preparation for conducting and writing their own research papers.

Students in Mrs. Rairigh’s 7th grade Family and Consumer Science classes learned proper hand washing with black light checks to make sure they got all areas with soap and hot water.




We can't wait to welcome everyone back on Thursday!


Before break, we hosted a school wide spelling bee. Students completed a spelling test using words from the Scripps National Spelling Bee and we narrowed the field down to the top 10 spellers who participated in a full spelling bee to identify the top speller in our school.
Isabella Ferguson in 7th grade won and will go on to represent us in a regional bee soon. Congrats to all our amazing spellers and thank you to the Lumpkin Literacy Coalition for sponsoring our entry in this year's bee!
