
Our LCMS students are attending Junior Achievement at the Cottrell Center today. BOE Member, Lynn Sylvester, accompanied our students as a volunteer to provide this experiential learning experience! Thank you, Cottrell JA Discovery Center, Mrs. Sylvester, and all the volunteers!

LMCS will be hosting the fall Family Engagement and Title 1 Night on October 29th from 5:00-7:00 pm. We will have a free spaghetti dinner for all while supplies last as well as a costume contest where will will awards a winner for one K-5 student, one 6th grader, one 7th grader, and one 8th grader. We will also have many more things for our students and families to do. Mr.
Remillard will also conduct the LCMS annual Title 1 presentation and answer questions related to Title 1. We hope you can attend.

LCMS 7th grade football played Fannin County for the championship tonight at Pickens. The boys played hard and won 30-0.





Meet Penelope, show trained full blooded Hampshire gilt that was bred last week. She’s gonna start our breeding program for our LCMS Ag/FFA programs. We should have our first babies arrive in February. Thanks Jada!!


LCMS teachers Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Brunner, and Mr. Murray were pretty excited this afternoon as they discovered the Bright Ideas grants they submitted were funded by Amicalola Electric. Thank you Amicalola. Our teachers will put the money to good use teaching our students.




LCMS 8th grade students analyzed famous speeches for rhetorical devices, tone, audience, and purpose in their English/Language Arts class today.




Our 7th grade football team will travel to Pickens tomorrow to play Fannin County for the 7th grade championship. The game is at 5:00. Good luck boys!!


On Friday, 8th Grade Physical Science used dice and mental math in their radioactive decay race!


Congratulations to our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Tori Jones! Mrs. Jones was also announced as the System Teacher of the Year at this evening BOE meeting!


The LCMS chorus classes put on a great production again tonight. Mr. T and all of the students were excellent. If you’ve never heard one of our chorus concerts, make plans to attend our next one. You are sure to enjoy the beautiful music.

Our student section is the best around!! Go Indians!!!! The LCMS 8th grade team is up 8-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.


The LCMS 7th grade team advances to the championship game next Thursday with a 38-8 win over Gilmer.




Come out to support our 7th and 8th grade football teams Thursday evening as they both have semi-final home games. The 7th grade plays Gilmer at 5:00 and the 8th grade plays Dawson at 6:30.


It was a great day for a homecoming parade. Go Indians!!
